The Arcteryx Beta AR Jacket provides GORE-TEX ePE weather protection for climbing, backcountry skiing and demanding mountain conditions. A regular cut, ergonomic patterning and a longer back allow movement and useful coverage when wearing a harness. GORE-TEX PRO ePE reinforcement on the yoke and upper arms adds abrasion resistance.
The helmet-compatible DropHood uses concealed Cohaesive adjusters for one-handed fitting. Generous hand pockets accommodate gloves or maps, and an internal zipped pocket secures valuables. WaterTight pit zips provide ventilation during harder efforts.
The supple ePE membrane is paired with a surface water-repellent treatment that may require regular renewal to maintain beading. Reduced beading on the outer fabric does not alone indicate a loss of membrane waterproofness.
