The Mountain Equipment Tupilak Jacket is a technical shell for winter and alpine climbing. Three-layer 80D GORE-TEX Pro with an ePE membrane provides durable weather protection, while recycled polyamide shell and backer fabrics reduce reliance on virgin material.
An Alpine Fit with articulated, pre-shaped sleeves allows reaching without excess bulk. The helmet-compatible Super Alpine HC Hood uses Cohaesive cordlocks and a seamless face panel. Large laminated chest pockets with AquaGuard zips keep essentials accessible, and two-way pit zips provide ventilation.
A two-way AquaGuard front zip, adjustable laminated cuffs and dual Cohaesive hem drawcords secure the fit around layers. The fluorocarbon-free DWR finish may need renewal to maintain surface beading, which is separate from the waterproof membrane's function.
