Shape and fit: Soft but full-bodied, with softly rounded top corners, a top edge that dips a little at the centre, real depth and a flat base. On both straps it rests between your shoulder blades and reaches down to your waist.

What can I fit inside?
About 40 cm tall, 37 cm wide across the base (side pockets included) and 17 cm deep, it takes a 12 inch laptop or A4 files, plus a zip wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses and lip balm. Inside there is a padded laptop sleeve, a zip pocket and a slip pocket, and each open side pocket takes a small umbrella.
How does the closure work?
A two-way zip runs over the top and about halfway down both sides, so the main compartment opens wide. Both front pockets zip shut, the laptop sleeve fastens with a hook-and-loop tab, and a zip pocket under a flap on the back panel sits against you while you wear it.
What are the carrying options?
On your back by both adjustable shoulder straps, or as a shoulder bag: clip the wide woven strap by its swivel hooks to the D-ring at the top of each side and it hangs on one shoulder, with the backpack straps still attached. The woven strap is cream with a tan chevron on Cognac and Camel, and black and white on Dark Brown, Light Taupe and Black. A flat band across the back slips over a suitcase handle for weekends away.
How should I care for it?
Clean gently with a soft damp cloth and a little mild soap. Leave it to dry away from direct heat. Do not soak or machine wash.
